Breathtakingly beautiful painting titled “The Meeting Place” by English painter, G. Hardy. Depicts a beautiful woman waiting in the garden at the gate. I’m imagining she is perhaps waiting for someone she fancies to show up. The colors are wonderful with lovely shades of greens and blues. You can see a barn in the background with some ducks. Just a wonderful piece! 
George Hardy (c1822-1909) was an English painter at the Royal Academy. This is an oil on canvas set in a gold wood period frame. Overall measures 40” x 30” very nice display, some crazing to the painting and age expected wear to the frame. Beautiful work of art! In
