Exquisite late 18thc to early 19thc portrait of a woman of wealth set in a giltwood frame. She is done beautifully with fine detailing and carries a wonderful expression of stout character. There is a label on the back from the Rosenbach company that used to sell rare prints and paintings. The artist is unknown, however I can see a signature inscribed in the back wood stretcher. Overall light wear to the painting, some wear to the frame. Frame measures 39.5” x 34.25”. Extra photos available if requested. Magnificent!
