Magnificent and rare to find early 19thc large ironstone potpourri ginger jar. Beautiful colors and pattern with ornamental dimensional handles and a figural foo dog on top. These early English pieces were meant to hold and diffuse potpourri and one in this condition of this size is truly a rare find! Overall very good condition, one small insignificant chip under the lid. Heavy weighted and measures 23.5” high x 13.5” wide to the handles. Marked on the bottom Indian Ironstone and perhaps Alcock Co.
